Connecting your WhatsApp Business number to Waspy is the most important step in setting up your shared inbox. This guide walks you through the full process, from Meta Business Manager setup to sending your first message through Waspy.

Before you begin

Make sure you have the following ready:
  • A Meta Business Manager account — create one at business.facebook.com if you don’t have one
  • A WhatsApp Business account associated with your Meta Business Manager
  • A phone number that is NOT currently registered on WhatsApp (personal or business app)
If your phone number is already active on WhatsApp (personal or the WhatsApp Business app), you must delete that account before using it with Waspy. This action cannot be undone — a number can only belong to one WhatsApp account at a time.

Steps

Sign in to Waspy

Go to waspytech.com/login and sign in to your workspace.

Open WhatsApp settings

From your dashboard, click Settings in the left sidebar, then select WhatsApp Connection.

Start the connection flow

Click Connect WhatsApp. Waspy will open a Meta authorization dialog.

Log in to Meta Business Manager

In the Meta dialog, sign in with the Facebook account that manages your Meta Business Manager. Grant Waspy the requested permissions to manage your WhatsApp Business account.

Select or create a WhatsApp Business account

Choose an existing WhatsApp Business account from your Meta Business Manager, or create a new one if this is your first time.

Register your phone number

Enter the phone number you want to use for WhatsApp. You’ll receive a verification code via SMS or a phone call. Enter the code to verify your number.
The phone number you register here will be the number customers use to contact your business on WhatsApp.

Complete the connection

Once verified, your number is connected to Waspy. You’ll see a confirmation in your WhatsApp Connection settings with the number status showing as Active.

Verifying your connection

After completing the setup, send a test WhatsApp message to your business number from a personal phone. The message should appear in your Waspy shared inbox within a few seconds.

Troubleshooting

The connection dialog doesn’t open Make sure pop-ups are enabled in your browser for waspytech.com. Verification code not received Wait up to 2 minutes before requesting a new code. Make sure the phone number you entered can receive SMS or calls. Number already registered error Your number is linked to an existing WhatsApp account. Delete that account from the WhatsApp app before trying again.
