What the WhatsApp Business API provides

Using the official API gives your business several advantages over personal WhatsApp accounts:
  • Multiple simultaneous users — your entire team can send and receive messages on the same number
  • No phone required — your business number is connected via the API, not a physical device that needs to stay online
  • Message reliability — messages are delivered through Meta’s infrastructure, not through a phone’s internet connection

  • Scalability — handle high conversation volumes without hitting the limits of personal WhatsApp

Requirements

To connect WhatsApp to Waspy, you need:
  • A WhatsApp Business account (not a personal WhatsApp account)
  • Access to a Meta Business Manager account
  • A dedicated phone number that is not already registered on WhatsApp
A phone number can only be registered with one WhatsApp account at a time. If your number is currently used on a personal WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app, you must delete that account before connecting it to Waspy via the API.
